DONE. totally done. down 5-0 in the first in Texa$$. we are in a different league. and our pitchers, maybe not as good as we think they are. we can't win in that stadium.

we might as well trade/sell off everything right now that is possible useful to any other team (not sure anyone would want this bunch of under-acheiving misfits though) and get some $$ and bring up the kids. I'd even trade pitching at this point, it's our only surplus and maybe we can get a few decent hitters.

another season down the drain. after tonight we'll be 10 back. good as DONE. write 'em off boys, and stick a fork in 'em.

I have to ask you sacto,

Should the A's and Beane get rid of Carter now? He obviously CANNOT hit big league pitching. In fact, the dude can't even take the bat off of his shoulder.

If they DO trade or release him, will you be upset with your personal "whiping" boy?

I agree w/Sacto, Carter was injured & only had strung together a couple of good games before his call up.

Call up Cardenas, dump Godzilla, but leave Miller in AAA, another Cust, some power, too many strikeouts

I also agree with Sacto on Carter.

All I know is this team SUCKS! They have no FIRE and they simply look like they don't care!

As far as Carter is concerned, he has struck out in almost HALF of his at-bats. He has walked a total of ONE time!

Hell, at least barton could drae a walk once in awhile. Carter stands there like a dumb-ass with the bat on his shoulders, like he is afraid to swing the f-in' thing.

Of course if we trade him, he'll probably turn into an all-star.

Boy, that would put Sacto right off the deep end wouldn't it?

yep it would lol

whats sad is this team is done out of it bye the Allstar game i mean how many times is a team just done by the Allstar game?

just to get back to .500 we would have to kick Ass second half pathetic

i hope the Moneyball movie bombs go to dvd fast!!

We gave up a good young pitcher in Rodriquez to get Willingham we better resign him he looks good enough
and Coco crisp

Beane has made some huuuge blunders again when you trade away your big macs or cansecos of our generation this is what you get a team of nothings.

imagine carlos and eitheir hitten #3 n $ respectfully this would be a diff team and i say this again becuase those trades are the diff that has sent us to the depths of baseball hell.

A tale of two teams.

As we know, the A's are #1 in the AL in team ERA (3.14) but #13 in the AL in team BA (.234) with a last place 41-54 record.

A similar team in the NL is the Atlanta Braves, #2 in the NL in team ERA (3.09) but #14 in the NL in team BA (.238). How's that working out for them? 55-39, 2nd best record in the NL just behind the Phillies.

Hmmmm....the difference? Some of it is 1-run games: A's 13-20, Braves 16-15 and extra-inning games A's 6-10 and Braves 10-8.
