OAFC BBS - All Topics: Off Field Matters: Dickey: Lew Wolff needs to leave town, not the A’s
"So, Wolff is back pushing for San Jose, but he’s blocked by the agreement the Giants ownership made with MLB in the fall of 1992: They’d get a new park built if they had territorial rights extending to Santa Clara County. They kept their part of the bargain, and they’re preparing a lawsuit if MLB should try to force them to give up their rights. Commissioner Bud Selig knows that, so there will be no San Jose A’s."
I agree with Glenn Dickey. Lew should sell the A's to Larry Ellison. I think he could be a great person to own the A's, work a deal with the City of Oakland, and get a ballpark built in time. |
