According to Buster Olney, Selig's term as commissioner will be renewed for at least two more years.

check out this quote from Selig:
"I don't know of any deal where we have taken less money because we like somebody," Selig said.

umm, what about nixing a better offer to buy the A's from the Piccinini group (who were committed to staying in Oakland), and then pushing an agreement for Wolff and Fischer to buy instead?
