Interesting that Vegas' point man negotiating with MLB is based in the Bay Area.

No pro team will be allowed to move to Las Vegas, at least not in the near future.
The lastest you hear is the Miami Heat maybe moving to LV because of the inclination of Michael Jordan looking to buy part of the Heat and you know he loves gambling so why not move it to the capital of the gambling world.
That's never going to happen because the city of Miami built the Heat a new state of the art arena just a couple of years ago and I don't see how the Heat could get out of that deal for a long while.
Not even counting the uproar the leagues would have to see a pro sports team located near an area that is prime for corruption.
The Heat are moving to Vegas, the A's aren't moving to Vegas. These kinds of story are hogwash.

Any deal in vegas will have to have casino owners approval or participation. A big issue for the casinos is not so much the impact on sports book betting but it is the fact that 20,000 people will be spending 3-4 hours at a baseball stadiun who might otherwise be at the casinos
