Tim Hudson - S - Braves

Tim Hudson won't make his scheduled start on Thursday because of slight stiffness he's feeling on the right side of his back.
Given Hudson's history of oblique problems, this is pretty disturbing. Of course, the Braves were quick to say that this is ''completely unrelated.'' ''It's not even on the same side,'' trainer Jeff Porter said. As long as this is just a simple case of back stiffness, it's not something to worry about. Mar. 17 - 12:02 am et

yeah, BB knew what he was doing. Trading two of the big 3 was brilliant. Mulder's been horrible in ST and Huddy's side is acting up. Hmmm. Guess dude is a genious.

I really don't think a (good) veteran pitcher's huge ERA in ST (remember Welch?) has a lot of meaning. They generally spend that time working on things and then tuning up. It's not like they have to fight for a spot.

Was watching TBS tonight and saw a Braves ad with Huddy in it. Ouch.

Well, I look at it this way, eyleenn. It beats seeing him doing an ad for the Yankees, Boston, Angels or some other AL club, don't you think? If Beane had not made the deal, it is likely he would have been doing so for one of those teams, next season.

I'm just grateful he's in the NL. That some comfort.
