And Kevein Millar goes BANG in the ninth.

Typical of a choking club.

How much more can we take ???

don't blame Saarloos -- not bad at all for a #5 starter.

Saarloos pitched a great game. He went 5 strong innings against one of the best offenses in baseball....in Boston! Street also pitched very well. As for Dotel, he had a lead in the 9th...one out and nobody on. He is so prone to walking batters....it drives me nuts. And what the heck was up with all the fast balls in the 9th??? Was that Melhuse's doing? If so, I'm glad he is not our starter. This was a tough one to take. Right when we're about to snap our 3 game losing streak, we get the W ripped out of our hands. It has been a really hard couple of weeks for us. I hope this loss doesn't drag down the morale of this team. The good thing is.....is that it is just the beginning of the season. If history repeats itself, the A's should recover nicely. BTW.....props to Big Red for finding his swing after a horrid start. Even his outs are hit pretty well.

Time to get someone warmed up. Saarloos may be none.

Nice outing for Sarloos. Got in trouble but showed real grit in the bases loaded situation. It's a shame we couldn't get a win for him.

Sarloos is very solid.

Don't think you will find very many better 5th starters.
