It seems that most of the players connected to steroids in the off season either by the media or Canseco's book aren't fairing all that well so far:
Bonds- on the D.L. indefinitely
Giambi- the Yankees want to send him to the minors. He sucks and his career is in doubt.
Sosa- .264, 4 HRs, on the D.L.
Juan Gon- On the D.L., hammy.
Pudge- .267, 3 HRs, toe problems. Production down this year.
Palmeiro- .222, 3 HRs. Career just about over.
Sheffield- .318, 6 HRs. The only one of the group having a nice season. I'm not convinced Sheff was doing roids anyway, but we'll never know.
Did I miss anyone?
Palmeiro's display in front of the panel where he pointed his finger and proclaimed that he did not do steroids is looking more ridiculous every day.

Sheffield did admit to using the cream on the advice of Bonds and claims he didn't know they were steroids. I tend to believe him but he was the name that got leaked early in the BALCO investigation that he had been sent a package from the company at one time.
As for Palmeiro he's been in a steady decline the previous three years so I'd say he's just hit the wall more than anything.

Yeah, I mean, give Raffy a break, he's like 50 years old - he's allowed to be on the decline.

Just for the record, Sheffield was said to have been sending a package to Balco, not the other way around.
Big declines for Palmeiro, not really steady. However, he is 40, which is when most players decline if they are not using some magical cream. I tend to think Rafael used at one point but has stopped.
I thought Palmeiro's decline came when he stopped taking viagra.

Heard on KNBR this morning that this is story is actually a couple of weeks old and ESPN somehow is just picking up on it. I don't know how this could be the case, with Pedro Gomez glued to BB's butt.
