From the Oak Trib today in his column:"The Giants should make the A's an offer they can't refuse and grab Brynes, who loves to play at SBC Park.Giants fans unbashedly cheer his all-out style. With Barry Bonds season in serios doubt, the Giants need some excitement,Brynes is a perfect fit..." Yea, we need to get rid of yet another popular A's player.

The writing is on the wall regarding Byrnes, particularly after his recent run-in with Macha. At this point we need to get the most we can for him.

Not really sure what los Gigantes would have that we want, though. Anyone have thoughts on that?

Yah, like the gnats are going to give up one of their few productive players, not to mention their 1B of the future.

how about one of the gnats geriatric ballboys...they'll replace byrnes' diving catches at the coli's vast foul territories.

meanwhile...the a's have to wait and see if one of the batboys clears waivers and passes his physical before they trade Byrnes...thank goodness they have such a genius of a manager... a troke of genius to PH for Eric with a man on board so that Watson could hit into a DP.

where would the A's be without macha the master in optimal lineups!!!!!

Line up changes are coming, not my moves by
Macha but because Crosby and Swisher will be coming off the DL. Will it help?....when you are last in the AL in runs scored per game, the only
way is up, can't drop further than last.

Crosby I'm excited about. Swish seems to pop up alot but still has potential.

Hey lil I'm with you on the pinch hit by watson.
You don't bring in a young guy who has not seen a pitch in a couple of days in that situation. The ball must have looked 120mph after sitting on the bench.

Agreed. Byrnes probably would have made one out, but not two.

...reminds me of sending in Melhuse to hit for Dye in the playoffs. Pure Macha Manura.

How 'bout one of Charlie Finley's ballgirls in hotpants. I hear Joe Morgan was a real fan of them...

The ballgirls in hotpants might appeal to Morgan's tradition ideas.
