MINNEAPOLIS -- Juan Gone came and went.
Juan Gonzalez, sidelined all season because of strained right hamstring, was activated by the Cleveland Indians from the 15-day disabled list Tuesday. Hours later, he reaggravated the injury while running out a grounder in the first inning -- his first major league at-bat since May 21, 2004.

Speaking of Guillen, those Nationals are a pretty darn good team. I'm not looking forward to the A's taking them on next week.
Oh, by the way, an old friend ... Ron Darling ... is their tv analyst. Pretty good, too.
And still speaking of Guillen ... the other one (Detroit) ... Seattle must be lamenting the day they gave up on him. They're still hunting for a ss and Guillen has been hitting a ton since he left.

Oakchick's posts gave me a chuckle, thought it
was a very good parody.
The Betting Fool chimes in with a Sacto style post
Sabes" is shining about as brilliantly as Billy Beane these days. May I suggest a new book title for the A's boy genius: "How to Turn a Very Good Baseball Team Into the Kansas City Royals in 9 Months or Less."

I personally know (Not in the biblical sense) Oakchick and she is a hotty who most assuredly is not lonely.
I love your posts Oakachica, you used to post more often but I know your new job is grinding the hours out of you. And Juan gone should have taken Viagra not roids!

I wonder if Gonzales took the Griffey approach early in his career; felt like he didn't need to do any conditioning or whatever else it is these players do to keep in shape. Sans the steroids of course. Piniella predicted early on that Jr.'s future career would suffer for it. He was right. I wouldn't be surprised if it's only a matter of time before Griffey goes down to another injury this year, also.

Gonzalez is earning $600,000 this year and once again, he hasn't played a game. He has missed 349 games the past three years entering Monday.
Isn't it interesting Bonzo pulls his hammy in his first MLB at bat, and not playing for the Buffalo Bisons?
