A’s Select RHP Ryan Glynn From Sacramento
RHP Britt Reames Designated For Assignment
OAKLAND, Calif. - The Oakland A’s today selected right-handed pitcher Ryan Glynn from Triple-A Sacramento. To clear a spot on the roster, the A’s designated right-handed pitcher Britt Reames for assignment.
Glynn began the season in the Toronto Blue Jays organization before he was traded to the A’s organization on May 14 for cash considerations. He was 2-4 with a 6.27 ERA in nine games, six starts, for Triple-A Syracuse and then went 1-1 with a 1.29 ERA in three starts with Sacramento. The 30-year old right-hander combined for a 3-5 record and a 4.47 ERA in 12 games, nine starts, at the minor league level. Glynn made his Major League debut with Texas in 1999 and pitched three seasons with the Rangers from 1999-2001. He returned to the Majors with Toronto in 2004, going 1-0 with a 4.05 ERA in six games, two starts, last September. Glynn is 9-16 with a 6.19 ERA in 47 career Major League appearances, 37 starts.
Reames was selected by the A’s from Triple-A Sacramento on May 25 and posted a 9.53 ERA in two relief appearances with Oakland. He was 3-2 with a 3.43 ERA in 10 games, six starts, with Sacramento.

BTW, Ryan Glenn is tonight's starting pitcher vs. Roy Halladay, despite what the A's website says.
why not john rheinecker?

Well, Glynn certainly did his job. Pitched a good game. Yeh, Cruz was no great shakes as usual, but he didn't exactly get a lot of help from Hatteberg who couldn't get that grounder to his right, which Johnson very well may have, opening the floodgates. While Swisher continues to do his Eric Byrnes' impressions by diving for balls and playing singles into extra base hits. If DJ can't cut it up here, they need to very seriously consider moving Swisher to first base, permanently.

don't trip off friday's loss ya'll. Halladay was vicious. his curve is so nasty. god, he was throwin it 80mph with a rough, snapping break to it.
Halladay was awesome!!! When you get beat by a pitcher like that...you just got to put it behind you. I think he'll win the CY YOUNG.

DJ made some excellent plays at 1B tonight. If he works on his D, I think he'll be just fine there.
