This is the yr most players are off roids, why? look at the averages and HR way down hm.......... i wonder if it has to do with drug testing for steroids??????

hm...................... not good for baseball but now we see normal averages and hr's, like we saw in 70's when hitten .300 meant something and 30 hr was a great yr.

The averages are down because of the cold weather; it hurts to hit if the temperature is below 50 and balls don't carry as far. I'd blame Global Warming before blaming steroids for the lack of the long balls.

Agreed drummer.

With regard to Teixeira, his protection in that lineup is a washed up Sammy Sosa. Nuff said.

HGH definitely alive and well ... and of course, undetectable via mlb's pee in the cup tests. One only has to observe Bonds and Giambi (whose head has gotten even larger) to know it.

In a story about the possible acquisition of Topps baseball cards by Upper Deck, there was a card/picture of a player I didn't recognize. Reading the caption, I discovered that it was Barry Bonds as a Pirate. He looked like a completely different person.
