How sweet for those kids to take down the Red Sux!

I predict low ratings for this WS, but I'll be watching.

I predict high TV ratings for the World Series in my house!!!

By the way, last night the national ESPN radio host asked for "non-Boston Fas" to call in and say whether they were glad or sad that the Sux weren't in the Series. He preceded opening the phone lines by pontificating on how fans need to have a big global team like the Sux or the Yanks to root for or against. However, every single call he took (they were Rockies, Cubs, Braves, and Diamondback fans) was thrilled that the Sux were NOT going to be in the World Series...that was apparently not the answer that the ESPN guy wanted, and he quickly changed the topic to football.

This is World Series has a lot signs leading to Oakland especially from the former Athletic greats and a East bay native.

PHI: Matt Stairs and Joe Blanton plus Jimmy Rollins from Alameda who is also a fan of Rickey.

TB: Chad Bradford and Carlos Peña.

Most of the national media wanted Manny vs. Red Sox, but Phils and Rays didn't care, so why should we bother either.
